Beriani rice

Ingredients :
2 cups Basmathi rice
1 chicken cube
3 cups water
salt to taste
1 inch of cinnamon stick
2 cloves
1 cardamon
1 teaspoon margarine
2 ghee oil
1/2 onion ]grater
1 small garlic ]grated
a bit of ginger ]grater
1 1/2 teaspoons Beriani powder
1/2 cup milk


Method :
1. Wash rice and put 3 cups of water.
2. Crush in the chicken cube into the rice. Add enough salt.
Let it boil.
3. When it has started to boil, heat a bit of oil and margarine
in a small pot.
4. Add in the spices and the sliced onion. Fry till brown.
5. Add in the grater ginger, onion and garlic.
6. Add in the Beriani powder and mix well.
7. Pour into the boiling rice.
8. Add in fresh milk, stir well and let the rice cook.
9. Garnish with fried sliced onion.

*** Very nice rice, famous in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I very miss this rice, but here has butter chicken rice only not suitable for my taste.
